Jumpstart your weekend with Burpees
A Burpee, or squat thrusts, is a full body exercise used in strength training and as an aerobic exercise. They make your body a fat burning machine, burning tons of calories, because of the intensity level of this exercise. This makes burpees perfect before a weekend, leaving enough space to fill up all those burned calories.
How to do a Burpee
Begin in a standing position. Your feet should be shoulder-width apart.
Now, lower your body into a squatting position, placing your hands on the floor in front of you.
Kick your feet back so that you are in push-up position. Beginners or those uncomfortable kicking their feet back can walk back into the pushup position. Keep your hands firmly on the ground to support your body. Depending on your fitness level, you can lower your upper body to add a push-up to this exercise.
Kick your feet back to their original position. Beginners or those uncomfortable kicking their feet back can walk back into the original position.
Stand up, immediately jump up into the air as high as you can. Add a little clap for pizzazz!
